Individual Liberty & Personal Freedom

• Every adult should have the right to decide how to live their life — who they love, how they worship (or don’t), how they work, learn, and live — without interference.
• Medical decisions must always remain the patient’s choice. No coercive vaccine mandates, “passport” systems, or forced treatments. Privacy-invading systems that track or compel health-related compliance should be rejected.

Larry’s Answer to Lockdowns

Criminal Justice & Public Safety Reform

• Bail reform: Expand payment options (e.g., debit/credit), reduce bail amounts for non-violent low-level offenses, and — when appropriate — offer monitored release (e.g., GPS-enabled ankle bracelets) rather than pre-trial incarceration.
• Prison reform & recidivism reduction: Establish Community Reform Units (CRUs) staffed by correctional officers, volunteers, and rehabilitated former inmates — aimed at reducing recidivism, offering rehabilitation, and granting early release where merited.
• Provide better working conditions for correctional officers, invest in de-escalation training, and improve transparency (e.g., more video surveillance to protect both staff and inmates).
• Legalize non-violent drug offenses (especially for cannabis/hemp), treat addiction as a public-health issue rather than a criminal issue, and shift resources from enforcement toward treatment, education, and harm-reduction measures (e.g., overdose-prevention services).

Environment, Energy, Agriculture & Sustainability

• Hold polluters — both individuals and corporations — fully accountable for environmental damage; eliminate liability caps when responsible for disasters. Direct penalty and cleanup funds to actual victims and impacted communities.
• Advance clean energy and sustainable agriculture by:
  1. Promoting next-generation nuclear plants (Gen-4) and innovative hybrid energy/fertilizer facilities to create clean energy and low-cost fertilizer for farmers.
  2. Expanding renewable energy deployment and removing regulatory barriers to clean energy and hemp-based bioplastics.
  3. Supporting small farms and farm-to-table producers by reducing excessive regulation and lowering input costs (especially energy and fertilizer), enabling fair competition, and boosting local food production and food security.

Healthcare Reform: Consumer-Driven, Transparent, Accessible

• Require transparent pricing from all providers; empower consumers to compare costs before receiving care.
• Reform state-funded health plans (e.g., Medicaid) into flexible programs such as Healthcare Debit Accounts (HCDAs) — allowing patients to choose providers freely while preserving backup safeguards for those with limited means.
• Remove burdensome licensing/certification requirements (“Certificates of Need”), expand use of telemedicine and house-calls, and allow competent nontraditional practitioners (e.g., certified nurse practitioners) to deliver care — to address provider shortages, reduce costs, and improve access.

Family Law, Gender & Reproductive Rights, Women’s Issues

• Reform family courts: institute strict perjury enforcement; reduce overly punitive measures; allow children to remain with family/kin where safe; ensure child support and parental responsibility is based on actual earned income, not speculative income potential. Ban debtors’-prison–style consequences for parents who fall behind — replace with fair payment plans.
• Protect women from workplace harassment; ensure clear, fair processes to report and investigate claims with due process for all parties. Provide multiple avenues to resolve complaints, including mediation when appropriate.
• Improve childcare access for working and single parents — support creation of nonprofit “child-garden” childcare centers with flexible hours and volunteer-supported models, especially for low-income and nonstandard-schedule parents.
• Respect individual autonomy over reproductive decisions: while Sharpe personally opposes abortion, he believes the government should not — instead, expand access to affordable (including over-the-counter) birth control. Also increase access to adoption and surrogacy as alternatives — and expand public education about all options.

Government Transparency, Reform & Decentralization

• Establish a new Office of Transparency to hold government officials — including appointees to committees and boards — publicly accountable. Require that major decisions, budgets, and oversight be subject to democratic review.
• Create an Office of Repeal to review outdated, redundant, and harmful laws — with the power to streamline or eliminate them.
• Create an Office of Pardon to review cases of rehabilitated individuals — particularly nonviolent offenders, drug offenders, or those unjustly incarcerated — for possible commutation or pardon.
• Implement a Community Tax Credit (CTC) — allow taxpayers to allocate up to, e.g., $500 of pre-tax income to charity (half statewide, half locally) — empowering citizens to fund community programs directly and transparently rather than relying on centralized bureaucracies.

Economic Opportunity & Election Reform

• Reform elections to give New Yorkers real choices: expand ballot access for independents and third-party candidates, implement open primaries, and adopt ranked-choice voting.
• Reduce burdens on small businesses and entrepreneurs (e.g., excessive licensing, over-regulation), repeal mandatory occupational licensing for low-barrier occupations, and cut state-imposed regulatory red tape — to stimulate job creation and economic growth.
• Lower taxes, promote small-farm and small-business growth, and shift from top-down mandates to local control — giving communities more autonomy and reducing Albany’s overreach.
